Local Government Digest has been reliably informed that Senator Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, the governor of Osun State accompanied his brother Dr Deji Adeleke to visit President Bola Tinubu to discuss the issue of the Osun local government funds, the stoppage of which has caused work to stop on government construction sites across the state.

A reliable source close to the governor informed our correspondent that governor Adeleke didn’t visit President Tinubu to discuss decamping to the APC.
“He actually went with his big brother, Deji, whose IPPs are in trouble due to unpaid federal debts which amounts to N4 trillion overall, together with the amount owed to other IPPs,” the source said.
The Osun State government recently dragged the federal government to the Supreme Court over the non payment of the monthly allocations of all local governments in the state.
